DVF-048 4RU type rack mount

 

Ikegami modular type converter unit supports both HD and SD format for the current period of transition. Main frame and modular construction provides easy system-up and sytem-expansion to meet various configuration. The DVU line allows multiple converter units within the 4RU, 2RU or 1RU rack frames for more convenient integration into the production environment.


Optional Modules

DVU-152 Up converter module

  • DVU-152 will up-convert from 480i SD-SDI Signal to 1080/59.94Hz HD-SDI Signal.

  • HD Background video input for side panel fill.

  • Frame Synchronizer function available. Non-synchronized input signal will be output with genlock to external sync signal. (optional DCU-039A CTRL Module required for genlock.)

  • AVDL function provides automatic phase adjustment of HD Background video to match phase of output with genlock (optional DCU-039A CTRL Module required).

  • Input through facility is employed. In case of HD-SDI input, the signal is output as it is.

  • Standard "Side Panel Mode", as well as, various picture size and cropping modes.

  • Alternate Up Converter models with Embedded Audio function:

  • DVU-183, includes embedded audio input and output, 1 slot width.
  • DVU-184, includes separate AES input for embedded output, 2 slot width.
  • DVU-185, includes separate AES output from embedded input, 2 slot width.

DVU-153 Down converter module

  • DVU-153 will Down-convert from 1080/59.94Hz HD-SDI Signal to 480i SD-SDI Signal.

  • Frame Synchronizer function available. Non-synchronized input signal will be output with genlock to external sync signal. (optional DVU-O39A Module required for genlock.)

  • Input through facility is employed. In case of SD-SDI input, the signal is output as it is.

  • Standard Side Cut mode, as well as various picture size and cropping modes.

  • Alternate Down Converter models with Embedded Audio function :

  • DVU-186, includes embedded audio input and out put, 1 slot width
  • DVU-187, includes separate AES input for embedded output, 2 slot width
  • DVU-188, includes separate AES output from embedded input, 2 slot width.

DCU-039A PF-Control module

  • DCU-039A provides reference signal for genlock and remote control interface facility to allow control of multiple modules within main frame.

  • Generates up to 4 reference signals for modules from external Tri-Ievel sync or BBS input, with +/- 1 frame phase range.

  • Employs Arcnet facility for system control and Ethernet facility for maintenance.
