PF-503 Digital/Analog Microwave Link
The PF-503 is a single carrier QAM FPU device that transmits high-speed HDTV and SDTV digital signals on the microwave band. As OFDM and analog (FM) transmission is provided by replacing a single carrier QAM modulation system mounted in the control unit, it is ideal for use during a transitional period from analog to digital (i.e. during the period when analog and digital signals are combined). Installation of the optional SD CODEC Board provides SDTV digital transmission capability.
The device is able to transmit high-speed digital signals, including digitally compressed HDTV/SDTV signals.
The device is provided with external code error correction (FEC) based on the Reed-Solomon code (RS: 204,188). (This is available for the DVB-ASI interface.)
ARIB interface (ARIB STD-B18) and DVB-ASI interface (ETSIEN 50083-9 204bytes/Packet with 16dummy bytes) are provided for digital input/output.
Both digital transmission by 64QAM, 32QAM, 16QAM and QPSK, and analog (FM) transmission are possible.
The optional analog transmission system can be mounted in the head unit to allow single carrier operation, as with an existing analog FPU.
The status of the link line is indicated on the LED display on the receiver head and receiver control unit.
The supply voltage is AC 100 V/220 V or DC +12 V.
When used with an Ikegami Camera, an RF Camera system becomes available.
