Innovative direct nonlinear recording for nonlinear
editing with no digitizing. The Drive you record on is
the same Drive that is used by the editor.
Time Lapse Recording, Intelligent recording, and
RetroLoop : Features only the DNR-20 Disk Recorder
can offer.
Two interface connections are available:
79-pin for high-end UNICAM HL-57/59 cameras, 50-pin for HL-45/HC-400 cameras.
Connect the DNR-20 as a direct replacement for the traditional VCR.
Compatible AVID MediaComposer, Xpress, Symphony and NewsCutters for maximum flexibility.
DNR-20 plus FieldPak 2 package offers high reliability, stability and portability for field use.
Extremely low maintenance because there is No Tape Transport! No upper drum assemblies to replace or
heads to clog. Virtually all the recorder moving parts are in the FieldPak.
High Quality Video
DNR-20 is now supporting the Avid video compression of AVR75(70BH), JFIF(3:1/10:1) or DV(25/50). You can choose AVR/JFIF (or AVR/DV), now, and then add DV (or JFIF) with an
optional software upgrade, later on. IMX compression will be released soon as optional software.
For Tapeless Acquisition
The DNR-20 is a Dockable Nonlinear DIsk Recorder that uses a Hard Disk Drive instead of video tape as the recording
media. A newly developed lightweight FieldPak2, Hard Disk Drive, with the new DNR-20 lightweight
recorder package offers features unique to the Editcam2 System.
Also newly designed compact, pocket-sized FieldPak called FP-S4 and newly designed
circuits make the compact and lightweight camcorder body possible,
without sacrificing many useful features of the Editcam system such as,
RetroLoop Intelligent Recording Time Lapse Recording
FEATURES
RetroLoop function allows you to capture an event up to five minutes after it has occurred. You can designate from 5
seconds to 5 minutes as a "time buffer". This assists you in timing for shooting scenes in the face of unexpected events
and also eliminates the need to keep shooting unnecessary tape. This permits the most efficient utilization of the
recording medium.
Intelligent recording enables you to start shooting immediately even while viewing the recorded video, which is
impossible with video tape.
Time Lapse recording allows you to record from one frame out
of two or up to one frame a day. Surveillance video over a long
period of time can be easily captured with this great efficiency.
