TA-55A with HL-55
The TA-55A Triax Adapter extends the operating distance of the HL-Series portable cameras up to 1,800 m via 14.5 mm diameter triaxial cable. It is designed especially for the HL-55A, HL-55, and HL-53. It has a host of features that ensure superior operational versatility and flexibility not only in ENG and EFP applications but also in mobile unit operations. The camea adapter is compact and light-weight. It weighs 2 kg (4.4 lbs.), and together with the camera weighs only 5.5 kg (12.1 lbs.). The TA-55A is easy to connect and disconnect. The half rack width base station is small in size and weighs only 5.5 kg (12.1 lbs.). The TA-55A can mix intercom program sound (the MIX level can be controlled from camera). A microphone audio channel is also provided. In addition to triaxial cable, coaxial cable can also be extended up to 700 m (however power must be supplied at the camera head). The camera adapter is equipped with a 26-pin VTR connector for ENG operations. The removable RM-10 control panel on the base station can be connected directly to the camera head for control of various functions. The base station can operate with both 110 VAC and DC powel: For DC operation, power is supplied from the base station to the camera with an HTV adaptel:
