TM20-15RH   20-inch Broadcast Color Monitor

15-Series High Resolution Digital Controlled, Broadcast Color Monitor

Ikegami 15-Series Color Monitors are a new generation of Broadcast Monitors. With Automatic Setup, they contain state-of-the art digital technology, developed by Ikegami in their Automatic TV Cameras.
By providing an optional Auto Setup Probe, the 15-Series is menu driven, user friendly, with all instructions shown on the screen. An optional Remocon Box provides for remote control operation.
The 15-Series high resolution color monitors are available in 13V and 19V configurations.

Cathode Ray Tube
  • Fine Dot Pitch Shadow Mask results in high resolution
  • In-Line Self Converging Electron Gun assures convergence stability
  • Controlled Phosphors (to American Broadcast Standards) provide consistent colorimetry
  • Black Matrix surrounding Phosphor Dots assures high contrast under bright ambient lighting
Digital Control System (DCS)
  • To simplify monitor setup, the 15-Series uses a Digital Control System (DCS) for RGB BACKGROUND, GB GAIN, CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, CHROMA, HUE, APERTURE, HEIGHT, WIDTH, H + V CENT and ROTATION.
Preset Level Modifications
  • Preset Levels of RGB BACKGROUND, GB GAIN, CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, CHROMA, HUE, APERTURE, HEIGHT, WIDTH, H+V CENT, ROfATION and DELAY-BRIGHT can be modified to the operator's specific requirements.
Three Operator Memories
  • These are used to store RGB BACKGROUND, GB GAIN, CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, CHROMA, HUE and APERTURE when pre-sent data is preserved though present preset is changed.
Auto Setup System
  • By using an optional Auto Setup Probe (ASP-15), the following functions can be automatically setup at a referenced level or stored in less than 50 seconds.
    1) CONTRAST 4) HUE
    2) BRIGHTNESS 5) RGB BACKGROUND
    3) CHROMA 6) GB GAIN
Remote Control Operation
  • With the optional wireless Remocon Box, the following functions can be remotely-controlled upto eight (8) monitors.
    1) DEGAUSS 9) BLUE GUN ON/OFF
    2) VIDEO SELECT 10) HUE
    3) COLOR/MONO 11) CHROMA

Adaptive Comb Filter Decoder
  • By replacing the conventional NTSC Decoder board with the optional Adaptive Comb Filter Decoder* , performances of the 15-Series are significantly improved, and make the monitor suitable for precision color monitoring or graphics display.

    Improvements are as follows:
    1) Chroma edges are greatly improved by patented process based on use of luminance transitions.
    2) Dot crawl at chroma transitions is eliminated.
*Under lincense from Faroudja Laboratories (patents pending).
Beam Feedback System (BFS)
  • To insure long-term black level stability, the 15-Series monitor incorporates Beam Feed- back System (BFS) which detects CRT cathode current deviation and eliminates brightness changes due to changes in CRT emission.
19-inch Rack Mountable
  • TM14-15RH units are available in cabinet or rack configurations, occupying 10-1/2" height. The TM20-15RH configurations are available in cabinet or rack configuration occupying 15-3/4" height.
Functions Include:
  • 3 coded video inputs each with bridging BNC connectors

Circuitry
  • Back Porch Clamp circuit in the luminance signal channel prevents black level change when hum is present on incoming signal
  • Keyed Clamp Circuit -The video output amplifier incorporates a feedback clamp cir- cuit which keys the brightness pulse. The DC voltage at the CRT cathode remains stable producing stable black level for varying APL.
  • Protective Circuits -The high-voltage, low-voltage power supply and deflection circuits contain protection circuitry.
  • Automatic Frequency Phase Control (AFPC) assures extremely accurate color locking.
  • R-Y, B-Y Axis (wide band) Demodulation provides faithful color reproduction.
  • R-Y /B-Y outputs available for use of X-Y display as vectorscope.
