The SDR-100A is a single channel digital disk recorder that records high quality video and audio onto a hard disk. Additionally, by using it in conjunction with a Multiplexer, the SDR-100A enables recording from multiple sources. Recorded materials can be stored and archived by using the removable hard disk.

• Removable Hard Disk
  The removable disk can be hot swapped to archive important material and to prevent it from being over-written. When a disk is used to capacity, OVER WRITE mode recording will overwrite older material, while ONE WAY mode will stop recording to prevent material from being overwritten.

• Reliable archiving of material
  Due to the digital nature, the hard disk is able to maintain the recorded material, at their original recorded quality, for a longer time compared to VCR tapes. The compression system uses Motion-JPEG, capable of r ecording and playback at a high resolution of 720 x 480, and still frames do not have jitters.

• Quick searching
  Being non-linear, the hard disk saves time by doing away with the tedious tasks of re-winding and seeking the tapes required. Searching for the start of a section is virtually instantaneous. Skip back recording When an alarm event occurs, up to 30 seconds of recorded material from before the event can be appended to the beginning of a clip.

• Usable with a multiplexer
  By using the SDR-100A in conjunction with a multiplexer, images can be recorded and played back.

• Automatic resumption of recording
  In case of power-outage while recording, the SDR-100A can be set to automatically resume recording when power is restored.

• Useful features for surveillance applications
  The SDR-100A has scheduled recording, time/date generator, external clock synchr onization, and RS-232C connection capabilities.
