WASHINGTON DC - December 4, 2002: Ikegami reinforces its reputation as a leader in digital camera technology at the Government Video Technology Expo 2002 (GV Expo), December 4-5 at the Washington DC Convention Center. The superb imagery and innovation of Ikegami cameras for studio and field production will be represented, including the HL-60W 3-chip AIT CCD digital camera, HDL-40 one piece full digital box-type HDTV camera, and DNS-201W IT CCD Editcam II camcorder with hard disk drive.

Ikegami SDTV cameras like the new HL-60W 3-chip AIT CCD Digital offer the most advanced production values at a lower cost. This switchable 16:9/4:3 camera features a 520,000 pixel CCD and uses Ikegami's latest ASIC with 0.18 micron design, featuring 38-bit internal processing, 65 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 750 TVL resolution.
The Ikegami HDL-40 is a full digital HDTV camera in a highly compact one piece box-type design, perfect for applications such as airborne use, underwater craft, surveillance and POV (Point of View). 2/3-inch 2,200,000 pixel 1080i IT CCDs are employed for superb picture quality and improved smear level. Weighing less than 4.0 lbs., the HDL-40 incorporates next-generation advanced digital processing ICs to achieve Digital Wide Band DTL circuit for precise picture reproduction.
For high performance shooting with the benefits of random access, Ikegami will show its acclaimed DNS-201W Editcam II. Employing hard disk drives as the recording medium in a digital, non-linear environment, the DNS-201W combines amazing features like Retroloop and Timelapse recording with a high performance IT 2/3-inch 520,000 pixel CCD and digital processing circuits. A laptop PC can also be externally connected to control the DNS-201W for editing via the optional Remote User Interface software.
Also, Ikegami's CCTV division will show the ICD-848, a new 1/2-inch Day/Night Camera, with ultra low light capability to 0.015 lux (Color) / 0.0015 lux (B/W) Minimum illumination. They will also be showing the ICD-376, which employs new 1/4-inch technology in a 166X Hyper Dynamic TM camera, which also boasts ultimate Sun-Block capability. These New Ikegami CCTV cameras have been acquired for Homeland Security in the U.S.
