GOVERNMENT VIDEO TECHNOLOGY EXPO, BOOTH # 333 - Dec. 3, 2003: Ikegami's leadership in full digital camera systems will be represented at the Government Video Technology Expo 2003 (GV Expo), December 3-4 at the Washington DC Convention Center. The outstanding imagery and sophisticated processing of Ikegami cameras for studio and field production will be on display, including the HL-60W 3-chip AIT CCD digital camera, DNS-201W IT CCD Editcam II camcorder with hard disk drive, and HDL-40CMOS one piece full digital box-type HDTV camera.
“Exacting imagery, state of the art processing and solid durability define Ikegami full digital camera systems," says Alan Keil, VP and Director of Engineering for Ikegami. "GV Expo visitors have extremely high standards, and we are there to meet and beat expectations with our constantly evolving lineup."
Combining newly developed digital signal processing features with a compact size and low power consumption, the switchable 16:9/4:3 HL-60W brings crisp imagery and value to a wide range of production applications. It extends Ikegami's long history of digital television advances with the debut of the 3-chip AIT 520,000 pixel CCD in an SD camera, using Ikegami's latest DSP ASIC with 0.18 micron design. Featuring 38-bit internal processing, 65 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 750 TVL resolution, high sensitivity of f11, and low vertical smear of -35dB, the HL-60W realizes high performance and specifications. Since all imaging is now performed by a single ASIC, the HL-60W digital processing system is extremely compact and efficient, resulting in a camera head weight of just 5.1 lbs. and a low 10W power consumption. Ideal for a wide variety of studio and ENG/EFP applications, the Ikegami HL-60W is available with either component triax or two-channel triax configurations.
For high performance shooting with the benefits of random access, Ikegami will show its acclaimed DNS-201W Editcam II. Employing hard disk drives such as the newly-designed FieldPak FP-S4 as the recording medium in a digital, non-linear environment, the DNS-201W combines amazing features like Retroloop and Timelapse recording with a high performance IT 2/3" 520,000 pixel CCD and digital processing circuits. A laptop PC can also be externally connected to control the DNS-201W for editing via the optional Remote User Interface software.
The award-winning Ikegami HDL-40 CMOS is a high-performance POV camera featuring three 2.1 million pixel CMOS sensors, Ikegami's new multi-format sensor which works in native 720p or 1080i formats. The HDL-40 achieves superb picture quality with an improved smear level, making it ideal for numerous POV applications. The HDL-40 weighs less than 4 pounds, and fully digital stream through the camera to the HD-SDI output assures signal integrity, repetitive high picture quality and stable reliability.
