AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN FILM AND VIDEO EXPODENVER- October 2, 2002: Ikegami continues to lead the way in digital camera technology, showing an array of highly advanced systems at Rocky Mountain Film and Video EXPO 2002. The latest Ikegami cameras, for applications from ENG/EFP production to documentary television and filmmaking and more will be represented, including DVCAM HL-DV7W/HL-DV5, HL-60W, DNS-21W and DVCPRO HDL-V90.
"Ikegami is proud to be at Rocky Mountain Film and Video Expo with our most advanced and flexible line of digital camera systems yet," says Alan Keil, VP and Director of Engineering for Ikegami. "Our commitment to groundbreaking image quality makes Ikegami cameras the ideal tools for shooting in the field or the studio."
Ikegami SDTV camera like the new HL-60W 3-chip AIT CCD Digital offer the most advanced production values at a lower cost. This switchable 16:9/4:3 camera features a 520,000 pixel CCD and uses Ikegami's latest ASIC with 0.18 micron design, featuring 38-bit internal processing, 65 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 750 TVL resolution.
The powerful Ikegami HL-DV7W takes the DVCAM format to exciting levels with 520,000 pixel IT CCDs and 16:9/4:3 switchability for high-end production, while the HLD-V5 employs 410,000 pixel IT CCDs. Recording modes are selectable between 2ch (48kHz sampling frequency) and 4ch (32kHz sampling frequency), and enhanced by +48dB Hyper Gain for very low light conditions, Super V vertical resolution, high res viewfinder and more.
Also showing at EXPO 2002 will be the Ikegami HDL-V90 one-piece DVCPRO camcorder. Using 2.2 million pixel 1080i CCDs, the ENG/EFP-style HDL-V90 incorporates full digital processing with 12-bit A/D conversion in a body as small and light as an SDTV camera. When connected with a multicore cable to the Ikegami RCU-79 CCU, the HDL-V90 can also be used as a full-fledged studio camera.
For the benefits of high performance shooting with random access, Ikegami will show its critically acclaimed DNS-21W Editcam II. Employing hard disk drives as the recording medium in a digital, non-linear environment, the DNS-21W combines amazing features like Retroloop and Timelapse recording with a high performance 520,000 pixel CCD and digital processing circuits. A laptop PC can also be externally connected to control the DNS-21W for editing via the optional Remote User Interface software.
