Features
- High-Density CCD Pickup Device
- High-quality image for clear-definition pictures
The FIT CCDs, containing about 400,000
pixels, and the precision optics work in
tandem to yield clear-definition images with
700 lines of horizontal resolution and a SIN
ratio of 59dB or more.
- High sensitivity
The high-sensitivity AT CCDs ensure
optimum performance with a standard
sensitivity of 2,000 Ix at f8 and a minimum
illumination of 15 Ix at fl.2. The high-
performance CCDs solves the problem of
low sensitivity enabling sharp, crisp images
to be reproduced.
- Simple maintenance and ease of operation
The CCD image sensor substantially reduced complex,
time-consuming adjustment and maintenance procedures
and offers the following advantages:
Freedom from streaking, ensuring a minimum of after-image.
Excellent resistance to vibration and shock.
Immunity from the effects of strong electrical or magnetic
fields.
A compact and lightweight structure, with low-power
consumption.
- Ikegami's Advanced Video Processing Techniques Achieve the Purest Image Possible
- Image enhancer incorporating newly-developed
ultra-compact supersonic delay lines
The 2H-DTL and soft-DTL ensure sharp image
enhancement with a superior S/N ratio.
- Auto highlight compression circuit
Even for highlight shooting, natural-looking images are
assured with no" washed out" appearance.
- Auto flare compensation circuit
The amount of flare is automatically detected to deliver
crisp images without any fogging or white noise.
- Chroma aperture and RGB DTL-KNEE
Image contours with white glare are softened to provide
natural-looking images with superior color fidelity.
- Versatile Functions with Emphasis on Operational Flexibility
- Electronic shutter
The MKC-305A incorporates a three-step electronic
shutter with 1/100, 1/500, 1/1000 sec. to capture clear
images.
- A Design Philosophy Giving Full Consideration to Ease of Operation
- Separate design
The compact and lightweight camera head is designed as a
separate unit from the CCU. This substantially improves
ease of operation.
- One-touch, water-resistant connector
Tight-fitting one-touch connectors of water-resistant
construction are employed for simplicity of operation and
high dependability .
- Slender camera cable
The camera cable connecting the camera head with the
CCU is made as thin as possible for maximum
convenience. It is terminated with connectors on both ends
to facilitate cable extension. The camera cable can be easily
extended with a cable joint adaptor for tract mount and
ceiling mount applications.
- Optional Operation Functions
- Characters and arrow pointer display
Characters and on arrow pointer can be
superimposed on the image being filmed, data
related to the on-screen image can be referred to at
all times. Up to 16 sets of character images can be
stored. Images can also be recorded on a VTR or in
hard copy form with the preset characters
superimposed on them. This feature of recording
images together with various data provides a useful
tool for studying patient cases and surgical
techniques. The following characters can be super-
imposed on the image:
- PATIENT'S NAME, NO.
- AGE
- M/F
- DATE, TIME
- DOCTOR'S NAME
- HOSPITAL'S NAME
- FREEZE COUNTER
- ARROW POINTER
- Freeze function
Single frame images, can be frozen, providing the
advantages of close observation of a particular
image as well as a print out for hard copy
documentation.
- System Applications
- Special microscope adaptor
Two types of dedicated adaptors are available to enable the MKC-
305A to capture images of the scene being viewed through the
surgical microscope. The CZA-1 is a single adaptor which
provides an interface for observing images on the monitor or
recording them on a VTR. The CZA- 7 is a dual direction adaptor
for 35mm still photographs as well as for video monitoring and
VTR recording.
The MKC-305A optionally interfaces with the Carl Zeiss Superlux
300/301 Light Source in the photo pulse mode. This enables
brighter and sharper still 35mm photographic images to be taken.
Selecting the photo pulse mode on the CZA- 7 foot switch
ensures the Carl Zeiss Superlux 300/301 Light Source flashes by
synchronizing with the still camera shutter release.
