Ikegami Tsushinki Co., Ltd. has delivered an MKC-X300 compact 3CMOS full HD camera, the most sensitive and multi-functional model in the history of Ikegami medical cameras, to Le Thi Rieng Saigon Eye Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is being used attached to a microscope for cataract surgery.

The hospital has received many awards, including being recognized as "Vietnam's Largest Eye Hospital and Clinic" by the Vietnam Record Organization. It was nominated as Vietnam's Specialized Hospital of the Year by the Healthcare Asia Awards in 2024.

The Ikegami MKC-X300 uses a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor for the image sensor. It achieves high image quality including a signal-to-noise ratio of 63 dB and high sensitivity of F13/2000 lux, making it possible to capture clear images even in low-light surgery. The camera is equipped with a correction function that allows optimal images to be obtained in various shooting environments using a unique image processing algorithm. Beyond the standard enhancement functions such as sharpness and picture effects, the image can be made clearer using Ikegami’s advanced image processing technology. The camera was evaluated as being intuitively easy to operate and having good performance.
