Ikegami's New MKC-835S 4K Medical Grade Camera Combines Precise Imaging with Exceptionally High Sensitivity

Ikegami Tsushinki Co., Ltd. announces a high-specification addition to its range of medical grade cameras. The new MKC-835S combines 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) with much greater sensitivity than conventional cameras.
Incorporated in the MKC-835S are three 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensors delivering a limiting resolution of 1600 TV lines and a signal-to-noise ratio of 63 dB plus a sensitivity of F13 / 2000 lx (when Line Mix mode is off). These combine to ensure crystal clear image capture even in low-illumination surgical environments. Such a high sensitivity is challenging to achieve with conventional cameras. If even greater sensitivity is required, this can be achieved using the camera's Hyper Gain, Line Mix and Pixel Mix modes.
Two new features which were previously optional are now included as standard:
• Advanced Sharpness enhances color contrast around edges to improve texture visibility.
• Picture Effect applies contrast enhancement, vessel enhancement and smoke reduction to improve visibility in captured images.
Ikegami’s proprietary video processing algorithms and image processing technologies enable enhanced image clarity.
The MKC-835S will be exhibited at the China International Medical Equipment Fair 2026 (CMEF Spring), April 9–12, 2026, Shanghai, China, and at the equipment exhibition to be held in conjunction with the 130th Annual Meeting of the Japan Ophthalmological Society, April 9–11, 2026, Marine Messe Fukuoka, Japan.
First deliveries of the new camera are scheduled for July 2026.
