Advanced Centre for Eyes is a leading super-specialty eye institute located in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Founded in 2012 by vitreoretinal specialist Dr. Dinesh Garg, the hospital provides comprehensive eye care services including retina, cataract, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Garg has more than 31 years of experience in ophthalmology and is widely recognized for his expertise in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. The hospital selected Ikegami's products for recording and documenting surgical procedures with high-quality medical imaging. This is the first installation of Ikegami products at the hospital.

The hospital was particularly impressed by the image quality of the MKC-X300 and Ikegami's comprehensive customer support during the evaluation process, both of which played a significant role in the purchasing decision.

The MKC-X300 camera has a sensitivity of F13 at 2000 lux, increasing to the equivalent of F26 at 2000 lux when line-mix and pixel-mix are turned on. This is especially useful in ophthalmology where it is unwise to shine strong light directly into the eye or where medical or surgical procedures are performed in rooms with low ambient lighting. A wide signal-to-noise ratio of 63 dB provides high image quality with low noise and fine detail. The MKC-X300 camera head incorporates a compact optical prism and state-of-the-art 1/2.8-inch 3-CMOS imager with 1920 x 1080 pixel Full-HD resolution. The camera’s compact dimensions (34 x 40 x 40 mm WHD) allow installation in confined spaces without compromising operability.

The MDR-600HD-A medical grade digital video recorder allows simultaneous recording and playback on internal HDD or external USB memory. High quality 1920 x 1080 pixel HD and 640 x 480 pixel SD video recording can be activated via a single button or plug-in foot switch. A second button allows still-image capture. Recordings can be checked live on the front-panel LCD monitor which can also display unit status and remaining data space. Stored video files and still images can be searched by patient ID, name or recording date for quick and efficient playback. An integral network function allows simultaneous recording directly to an FTP or CIFS server via a LAN connection without the security risks that can arise when sharing USB devices among third parties. Recorded image files can also be copied for transfer in folders.

Ikegami continues to support healthcare professionals worldwide through innovative medical imaging technologies that enhance surgical visualization, documentation, and clinical efficiency.
