NAB, BOOTH #C7825/MAYWOOD, NJ – April 20, 2016: Ikegami (www.ikegami.com), a leader in HD and UHD cameras and production equipment for TV broadcasters, networks, and other HD content creators, is proud to be twice awarded one of the industry’s most prestigious technology honors, NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award, presented at the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas by TV Technology.

TV Technology’s Best of Show Award was bestowed on the Ikegami UHK-430 4K camera, and the Ikegami HDL-F3000, a high sensitivity compact two-piece separate optics camera for gyro-stabilized gimbal applications.

NewBay Media’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. Winners receive an award for display and will be featured in TV Technology, which serves the broadcast, cable, production, post production, business and new media markets.

All nominated products also are featured in the special Best of Show Awards Program Guide, to be distributed digitally to 100,000+ readers of TV Technology, Digital Video, Video Edge, Radio World, Radio magazine, Pro Sound News and Sound & Video Contractor after the convention.

NAB 2016 marked the debut of the UHK-430 4K camera, the first member of the new Unicam XE camera series from Ikegami. Designed for use in the studio and field, the UHK-430 provides Ikegami’s superb imagery in true 4K. It features three 2/3-inch 4K (3840×2160) CMOS sensors with RGB prism optics, for “Real 4K” resolution from 24 million pixels (8 million per sensor).

In addition, this year’s NAB saw the debut of the Ikegami HDL-F3000, a high sensitivity compact two-piece separate optics camera for gyro-stabilized gimbal applications. Equipped with 2/3-inch 2.6 megapixel CMOS sensors, it achieves a minimum illumination of 0.007 lux, with image enhancement features that include haze removal, backlight comp, and digital zoom. The HDL-F3000 operates in 1080i, 720p, and 30p formats.
