UHK-430 4K Camera, HDK-99 3G 3-CMOS HDTV Portable Camera, HQLM-3125X, HLM-2460W/HDR, new ULE-217-HDR and More Will be Shown

NAB SHOW NY, Booth #N622/MAHWAH, NJ – October 7, 2019: Ikegami (, a leader in HD and UHD cameras and production equipment for TV broadcasters, networks, and other HD content creators, will exhibit its innovations in 4K, CMOS, and more at the 2019 NAB New York Show. This year’s convention will be held October 16-17 at The Jacob K. Javits Center of New York.

On display will be the UHK-430 4K camera, from the company’s Unicam XE camera series. Designed for use in the studio and field, the UHK-430 provides Ikegami’s superb imagery in true 4K. It features three 2/3-inch 4K (3840×2160) CMOS sensors with RGB prism optics, for “Real 4K” resolution from 24 million pixels (8 million per sensor).

Equipped with Ikegami’s latest AXII ASIC for low power and superior digital signal processing features, the UHK-430 attains 16-axis color correction from a 3D linear matrix. It also enables five Custom Gamma memories for HDR high dynamic range transfer characteristics, including HLG and sLog3. The UHK-430 employs 40G transmission using standard SMPTE hybrid fiber/copper camera cable, uncompressed 4:4:4 resolution RGB transmission, with eight HD channels from CCU to camera, and one HD trunk channel from camera to CCU. In addition, a Gigabit Ethernet connection is available on the Ikegami UHK-430 camera for external use. The UHK-430 is switchable between 4K and 2K formats. As an option the CCU can output simultaneous 4K and 2K, with available 2K cutout from the 4K picture. A plug-in output module allows for flexible 4K signal formats including Quad 3G, 12G, and IP.

Ikegami will also exhibit the HDK-99 3G Full Digital 3-CMOS HDTV Portable Camera, representing the elite offering from its expansive Unicam HD line. It employs three 2.6 Megapixel high performance CMOS image sensors for superb picture quality capable of capturing full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. Along with a wide dynamic range of more than 600%, the HDK-99 captures superb HDTV video with its horizontal resolution of 1000TVL, SNR of 62dB or more, and high sensitivity of F11 (59.94Hz).

HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) mode is featured on the HDK-99, conforming to the ITU-R BT.2100
International standard for HDR. HLG makes it possible to expand the range represented from dark to bright, providing superb bright pictures with High Dynamic Range, while achieving rich colors with wide color gamut. A native multi-format camera, the HDK-99’s CMOS sensors support progressive and interlace readout. It natively supports 1080i /59.94, 1080i/50, 720p/59.94, 720p/50, 1080p/29.97, 1080p/25 and 1080p/23.98. It also supports 1080p/59.94, 1080p/50, 1080i/119.88, and 1080i/100 3G HDTV formats.

Ikegami’s renowned broadcast monitors will also be demonstrated at the NAB Show NY. Its HQLM series with advanced HDR capabilities, complies with HLG and PQ (SMPTE ST 2084), among other standards. Ikegami’s HQLM-3125X 31-inch 4K/HD multi-format LCD master monitor will be shown, employing a direct backlit 4096 x 2160 pixel 10-bit resolution UHD LCD panel with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.

Ikegami’s full HD HLM 60 Series of monitors now benefit from optional HDR. The HLM-2460W 24-inch HDTV/SDTV full HD pixel multi-format LCD color monitor has a 24-inch full HD 1920X1080 pixel 400cd, 10-bit resolution LCD panel. Offering very narrow front-to-back dimensions, light weight and low power consumption, the HLM-2460W provides SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, and analog composite inputs as standard. By employing a full 1920×1080 pixel LCD panel with a wide viewing angle, high brightness, high contrast, fast motion response, and high-quality color reproduction, it achieves real pixel allocation without resizing.

The new Ikegami ULE-217-HDR 21.5-inch Full Resolution HDR LCD Broadcast Monitor will be exhibited. A professional multi-purpose monitor providing HDR video display for under $1000, with 3G/HD-SDI and HDMI interface, the ULE-217-HDR is ideal for PC applications or HD video monitoring. It’s VESA interface allows it to be easily racked, wall-mounted or used on a desktop.

These Ikegami systems and more will be on display throughout NAB Show NY, at Booth #N622, October 16-17, 2019, at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
